Why shoe sizing in Pakistan is confusing
Pakistani shoe shops mix UK, US, EU and even CM sizing depending on the brand. A "size 9" on a Bata shelf is not the same as a "size 9" on a Nike box, and the difference between UK and US men's sizing alone is a full size. This tool gives you a quick conversion across all systems so you can shop confidently online on Daraz, Foot Locker, or in local markets like Liberty and Tariq Road.
How to measure your foot at home
Stand on a sheet of A4 paper with your heel against a wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe with a pen, then measure the distance in centimetres. Always measure both feet in the evening (feet swell during the day) and use the larger foot's measurement. Add 0.5–1 cm for comfort, then look up your size below.
Width: narrow, regular, wide
Most Pakistani feet trend slightly wider than the European "D" standard, especially after years of wearing chappals. If your foot feels squeezed at the ball even when the length is right, try a 2E (wide) variant. Brands like New Balance, Asics and Skechers offer wide sizing on Daraz. For narrow feet, lacing techniques (heel-lock lacing) often fix the problem before you need to size down.
Children: buy half a size up, not two
Kids' feet grow about 1.5 sizes per year up to age 10. Buying two sizes up so they "last longer" causes blisters, tripping and long-term gait problems. Half a size up with a thicker sock is the sweet spot.
PK Local sizing
Most Pakistani local manufacturers (Servis, Bata, Borjan) follow UK sizing, but some imported lots from China use EU sizing on the box and UK on the sticker. When in doubt, ask the shopkeeper for the CM length of the insole and use that as your source of truth — it never lies.
